I just had a panel interview today! I thought I wasn't going to like it, but as the candidate, it was much better answering the questions once instead of 4 times.

There are several different types of panel interview, in my experience. There's the "serial panel" interview, where you have several 2 or 3 interviewer sessions, which I have found quite productive; but I once had an interview for a university role with a six person panel, which was very daunting, and as the panel didn't have a clear leader, somewhat directionless. If I were on the other side of the table, I would definatly make sure that the panel had a clear leader, which would solve this problem.
