A small, well-funded Pioneer Square startup is looking for a front-end focused SDE to help them with their website
How do you know you’re the right Developer?
Because you've done the following:
• Commercial experience developing websites, with a focus on the front-end (but we like people who have worked on the back-end and in-between).
• Love Computer Science, as evidenced by your studies and your accomplishments (Should have Java under your belt plus one or two other major dev languages).
• Should have worked through one major and some minor releases on a successful commercial website.
• Created scalable web server & database architectures, ideally at a successful startup.
• Applied Object-oriented methods in your commercial development work.
• Background with Agile Development processes.
• Successfully balanced time-to-market v. build-for-the-future decisions.
• You’ll be doing some fun stuff, creating and expanding on an existing theme/website that’s focused on a timely topic: Saving people money. Additionally, you’ll be working with a team of people who are fun, creative, nice, driven, and who have a clear vision of the future.
Role Requirements:
• B.S. in CS.
• Front-end background: HTML, HTTP, XML/HTTP, CSS, and JavaScript/AJAX.
• Back-end background: LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/ Python, Perl, PhP).
• Object-oriented programming skills.
• Agile certification/class is a plus.
